  • You can be added to the waiting list for a group class by contacting DogWould by email.
  • Registrations are taken on a first completion, first serve basis.
  • The DogWould Group Class Registration form must be filled out prior to the first class. You can fill out the form digitally and email it, or print and mail it. Find the registration form for download below.
  • Please inquire to obtain the mailing address if you wish to mail your registration form back to DogWould with a cheque for payment of class fees.
  • Please inquire to receive an information email including supplies list and fees rates for classes.
  • Pre-payment for classes is required to reserve your place in the class. If payment is not received, your place is not guaranteed in the class.
  • Cash, cheques, or e-transfers are acceptable forms of payment for classes. Cheques can be mailed in with registration form.
  • You may withdraw your dog from group classes at any time, however, once the training has begun (i.e. the first class meeting has concluded,) all fees are non-refundable.

General Group Class Policies

  • You may register your dog(s) in any level of group classes as many times as you wish.
  • Sometimes your instructor may recommend that you enroll your dog in and complete the same level of group class again before moving on to a higher-level training class.
  • Dogs must be in good health to attend group classes, free of communicable diseases, internal and external parasites, and other maladies.
  • Dogs from the same family can be registered in the same class, provided they each have a handler. Please be aware that dogs from the same family often do better when enrolled in separate groups, rather than in the same session.
  • For dogs over two years of age that have never attended DogWould group classes, or have not recently attended group classes, a minimum of two written references must be submitted along with the group class registration form. References can be from your veterinarian, groomer, another trainer, or respected friend or responsible family member. References should include a description of how long the person has known you and your dog, and why the person believes you and your dog would benefit from the class.
  • For dogs over two years of age that have never attended DogWould group classes, or have not recently attended group classes, the fees for enrollment in group classes will be higher (than if a dog has recently attended group classes with DogWould.)
  • For safety, handlers younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied to classes by an adult (preferably a family member or guardian.)
  • Children are welcome to attend and participate in group classes, but must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.
  • Junior handlers (under 18 years of age) are welcome to handle dogs in group classes provided that the dog they work with has already completed the same class and/or is approved by the instructor as a good match for the child's skill level. Junior handlers should join the class with a trained, experienced dog, not an untrained one, in order to foster a good learning environment for the child.
  • Evaluations are required for upper level DogWould classes if your dog has not completed the necessary prerequisite classes.
  • Dogs who are deemed mildly aggressive toward humans or other dogs will be required to wear a basket muzzle during classes for safety. Please ask about recommended muzzles and positive muzzle training practices.
  • Dogs exhibiting severe aggression or other dangerous behaviours are not allowed in the group classes. Dogs exhibiting severe aggression or other dangerous behaviours must be muzzled for Private Lessons, no exceptions.
  • Clickers are welcome in any DogWould class. If you would like to learn how to use a Clicker training device, please schedule a private lesson.
  • In accordance with Saskatoon city bylaws, you must pick up after your dog and deposit the waste in a garbage bin. Anyone who does not may be required to pay a fine.
  • Also in accordance with Saskatoon city bylaws, your dog must be on a leash of six feet or less in length at all times when coming from your vehicle into the training area.
